WELCOME!
Bienvenido!
Karibu! Sawdeekah!

My name is Megan Thomas. I’m from New Jersey. This is my blog. Thanks for visiting!

Long Story Shorter This is how I got here:
Listed Below are my blogs by Location where they were written.

I was saved through a dream I had back in January 2010. I realized I couldn’t keep living life the way I had been. It wasn’t going in the direction I ever wanted it to and I was never happy with what was happening. In the dream God gave me a promise if I turned my life around to live it for Him. It was something I couldn’t pass up. So I did it.

It wasn’t easy and I spent the next 4 months trying to figure out what it meant to live my life for the Lord. It was one day when I was hiking around in New Jersey that I thought “Hey I want to go on a missions trip!” Went home, googled “Christian Missions Trips“, and found Adventures in Missions. Awesome! I decided to go on a trip to Haiti for a week. I mean it was around the same time that I got saved that the earthquake happened, and it kinda felt like an earthquake had hit my life at the same time.

IT WAS LIFE CHANGING! I never knew a week in my life could change me so much! I encountered the Holy Spirit for the first time. Well not the first time, but the first time I would give it recognition for what the Spirit actually is. I NEEDED more!

I was invited back to Haiti to work with Adventures as support staff on their short term trips. They asked if I could serve for 6 weeks. I said Yes!

During my time in Haiti I decided the World Race was what was next for me. I had read about it way back when I first googled missions trips. I thought it sounded amazing but couldn’t be for me. I wasn’t that dedicated yet and it was a year long trip. I was wrong.

I launched for my race in January 2011. A little before that is where this blog begins. I regret often that I am not more diligent in keeping it up to date, but please don’t hold it against me. I do try.

I currently work at Adventures in Missions in Adventures Encounter as a support raised missionary. If you would like to join my support team click on the “Support Me” link to your left.
