This month has been amazing and it is hard to even sum up in words! So here are my top 5 favorite moments of this month. And also a video of our time here, beware you might also fall for 9 thai boys.
#5………..These boys have a heart of worship. When it is time to worship they are all in. They love the lord and sing to him with all their might. It was such a blessing to watch them praise god.
#4………… To celebrate the water festival we studied bible stories that had to do with water. When talking about Jesus calming the storm the most logical activity was to have the boys make cardboard boat to sail around the pond. This was so funny, their boats fell apart in 3 seconds, but the boys had so much joy during the whole thing.
#3………….. We took the boys to the zoo, all of us had a blast. We couldn't stop smiling all day long. There was so much laughter and joy with feeding all the animals and to our 10 billion snack breaks.
#2………….. The boys took us to a BQ Thai Buffet to say good bye. This night was amazing. Never in my life have I been treated so well and this was by two 16 year old boys. Annie and I sat with two of our boys. They made all of our food on the thai grill and fed us like queens. They would not let us get up it get anything. I made a statement once about how I like steak and two seconds later there came a huge plate of steak. This was a night to remember.
#1………… During this month we taught the boys english for one hour a day. One week we spent teaching them food words and how to order food in english. To practice what they were taught, we set up a fake restaurant with menus, waitress, and even receipts. The best part was that all the food was gummy snacks, we had cheeseburgers, pizza, and fruit, and when they were served these miniature food items they could not stop laughing.
