It’s 3:24 a.m. and I am eating some of Jordan Kuiper’s mom’s poppy seed bread (yum!) and currently sitting in the Lima, Peru airport on a 9 hour layover. Our plane doesn’t take off until around 10 a.m. and airport sleeping does not come easy, airplane sleeping on the other hand has been working ever in my favor…so I am wide awake and my mind is racing with thoughts as I anticipate arriving in Quito, Ecuador soon to start a new adventure!

God is preparing my heart for a lot of newness lately and change. I keep hearing Him say to me to be present through it all where my feet are planted. To be present in this given moment, today. When we even reflect on the scriptures we notice that the word “tomorrow” is hardly ever used. In fact, the only times the word tomorrow is used in the Bible is to remind us to not be anxious about tomorrow or boast about tomorrow (Proverbs 27:1; Matthew 6:34; James 4:13-17).  So this is the moment to live in. Right now. It’s going to be a challenge to break away from the futuristic mindset, but even as I think about the worldrace I have to remember that is not where my feet are planted yet. I am absolutely thrilled about what lies ahead, but I am also absolutely thrilled about THIS day. A new morning of  God’s mercy and grace a new opportunity to seek adventure, create new relationships, and press into who He is and His creation.

For all my prayer warriors out there I have some prayer requests  for this new season I am entering into.

Prayer for myself and the group. Prayer for our hearts as we are leaving our loved ones and prayer for relationships to flourish! Pray for the language barrier, that it doesn’t hinder relationships and that we can quickly pick up on it! Pray for change in our hearts and that God moves in each of us and takes us to new places. Pray for my group that we can become like family and witness amazing things happen.

**A blog within the week will come with updates about Quito!**
