So one of my squadmates, Joshua Robinson, challenged the squad to list 11 people/things we are thankful for since we are going to 11 countries in 11 months. This, is my list. Enjoy!

-Life. That God has given it to me and I can live free in Him!
-My family. I have been blessed with a wonderful, supportive family that loves me despite my crazy adventures.
-Melissa McBride. My best friend, roommate, confidante, sister, fellow car soloist/dancer, and prayer partner. I love you and all that you’ve done for me throughout the years.
-Kendall James. My other best friend, who has loved me and allowed me to be exactly who I am, all the time. Having an awkward moment be the beginning of your friendship is very helpful with that =)
-Jesus. Jesus gave up his life that I might have freedom, grace, and love. For that, I am forever thankful.
-Mom and Dad. I know I already mentioned family, but you guys deserve your own number. Despite the tattoos, piercings, airlifts out of countries, sickness, and other things that have had you on your knees in prayer, you are still delighted to see me every time I come home. That makes me feel really loved, and I am so thankful.
-Technology. Kind of an odd one, but I’m so thankful for it. It has been a vital tool in communicating with all of my various friends, family, and acquaintances around the world.
-The Love Pie. Even though we’ve had our differences, it was the friendship I had with you three that allowed me to step out and be me. To not worry about what others think, and to not let that hold me back from the life I want to live.
-Supporters. For my first few and the ones that will surely be coming, I am forever thankful. Without you (potential or actual), I would not be able to survive or even go on this trip. It is through your prayer and gifts that the World Race is possible, so THANK YOU!
-Shoes. So many people around the world don’t have them and I always start thinking about that around this time of year as the weather turns colder. My feet get really, really cold really fast so I’m thankful for shoes to help keep me warm.
-The World Race. This opportunity is allowing me to step out and become the person I want to be, a person that follows God’s plans and trusts him to provide. To serve others, love people different from myself, and see the world. I am so thankful for this opportunity.
