If life is like a box of chocolates, then I must have the jumbo variety box. I think it has a lot to do with my background. My dad is in the Army, and has been in some form or fashion my whole life. Whether it’s due to the countless moves, various schools, or different cities I’ve lived in, I’ve come to expect the unexpected. In fact, I like that nothing works out the way I think it will…most of the time.
So in my 21 years of life, I think I’ve done quite a bit of living. In part, that’s due to my background, but also to the adventurous spirit I possess (which is also-via genetics- thanks to my parents). I’ve been to other countries, experienced other cultures, and lived with people who are different from me and I can’t get enough of it. I love it. Through this, I have also been placed in many a sticky spot (some good and some not so good) hence the “quite a bit of living” comment earlier. I like to think that these experiences have shaped me and influenced me, but they don’t define me. I honestly don’t think anything or anyone could, which is why a blog like this is kind of hard for me to write. For now, I’ll make a list. Because I am really good at lists. Enjoy =)

- I’ll try just about anything once- food, jumping off a cliff, etc.
- Much to my parents’ dismay, I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I’m always joking about going to get my motorcycle’s license, skydiving and the like. They never laugh…
- I have an amazing, supportive family: my parents, Jane and Bruce, my brother Gray, my sister Sara, my newest foster sister Tina, and our dogs.
- I have a pretty fantastic extended family too =)
- I’m currently a senior at Samford University in Birmingham, Al. I love food, so I decided to major in something that tells me all of the things I can’t eat…Nutrition. Seriously though, it’s great and very practical!
- I’ve attended 10 schools from kidergarten to now and I’ve moved about 12 times…it’s kind of hard to keep track now. College is the only school I’ve ever attended for more than 2 years.
- I’ve done mission work in Mozambique, Haiti, and on two american indian reservations. Missions is a big part of my life, and I think it will be for the rest of it…that’s why I going on the World Race! I also lived in Panama (although I don’t think it counts if your under the age of 2) and been to France.
- I’m a magnet for natural disasters….earthquakes, tornadoes, the coldest weather in the history of a place…I’m hoping this is not the case at all during the World Race
- I love photography, especially working with black and white film.
- I also love working with kids, cooking, reading, gory medical shows, and Glee.
- I’m a library research assistant. My specialty- tracking down pastors. It’s investigative work in the most Christian way
- My car currently sports a sticker saying “Life is…God.” It’s the absolute truth. My life is God’s and I want to live for Him, enjoying the bumps, bruises, and victories along the way =)

Well, I did my best, and hopefully this gives you a better idea of me. I wish I could say this is me in a nutshell, but really, it’s just the tip of the iceberg…or rather, a few of the chocolates from my variety box.
