I’m going to keep this super brief. My name is Megan Hudson, I’m 26 years old, and I currently live in Greenwood, IN. I have had a heart for missions for the last three years. I completed a Discipleship Training School through Youth With a Mission in Townsville, Australia in 2013. During those six months, I learned more about God’s character and His heart for justice. I then completed two mission trips for the program. One of which was to Palm Island, an Aboriginal community off the coast of Queensland, and another to the Oro Province of Papua New Guinea.
After completing the school I moved back home and started working at my church as the Outreach Coordinator. During this time I coordinated many events around the community to show God’s love in a practical way. Sadly, after a year of working there, they could no longer afford to keep me on staff and had to let me go. The last thing I did was take a team from our church to Port Au Prince, Haiti, which ended up being one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. It didn’t take long after being let go from the church to realize that my has been and probably always will be in missions. In just one day, I felt as though God was confirming that I was supposed to join The World Race and walk on many soils during the next major chapter of my life. I couldn’t be more thrilled for this opportunity, and I can’t wait to see how God will use this experience to shape the rest of my life.
