We live for a God who knit together the heavens, every star in the sky. We live for a God who’s speech shook the mountains and the seas. We live for a God who devised, fashioned and breathed life into everyone of us. He turns water into wine. He heals the blind, the lame, the mute, the demon-possessed and the sick by the touch of his hand and the word of his mouth. WE LIVE FOR A SAVIOR THAT CONQUERED THE GRAVE. And now, by his grace, that same power lives in all that follow Him. Does any of that sound the least bit sensible? logical? possible?

It’s time to stop boxing God up in a box; a box that we design and determine the limits. He will never fit. He is too big for any expanse, too strong to be contained in any cage and too wise for his knowledge to be measured. And we can’t simply include God only in the parts of our lives that we want Him in. He has to be everything. Hiding away is not a possibility. We live for Him. And Him alone. And He lives in us.

We seem to have forgotten the miracles that have taken place and the power that God has displayed. But God has not abandoned us; gone to sit up in the clouds and watch us run our head into the wall. It is a dangerous thing when we begin to forget what he has done and what he is capable of. His power is still in constant use; perhaps in subtler ways at times, but it is by no means dead, dying or dormant. We have the authority to approach the enemy and his lies with a confidence that is found only in the power of Jesus Christ. It is foolish to think that something cannot be done because that’s what this world has decided. We are called to be not of this world anyway.

“..all things are possible with God.” …WITH GOD. Not by ourself. Not by our own power. Power is extremely limited when it comes to our own. The only power we possess is only given to us by the grace of God and it is at his disposal.? And what if God’s will was something that seemed illogical to us? Should we not follow through with the Devine Creator’s plan because the odds were not in our favor? Because the likeliness of it succeeding was improbable??

The great people, leaders, and prophets of the Bible didnot try to contain God either. Moses trusted God and marched up to the Pharaoh whom he had run away from in the past and he performed miracles with the power of God. Esther walked to an assumed death as she attempted to speak for the fate of her people, yet was spared. King Jehosephat walked into battle with no more of a battle plan than his army singing and praising God, and yet he was victorious. Mary let God instill a child inside of her, while knowing that the crime for this appearance of impurity was stoning; yet she trusted and she lived. There are countless other examples of God showing himself in ways that would not make sense to us. He continues to display that he is in control in order to increase our faith.

I don’t want to miss out on any of the great things that God has planned for me simply because a positive outcome was not certain. Let us obey out of faith. Let us discard everything the world may be telling us of practicality. I want to live a life of faith; trusting not in my own understanding, but in my God who will lead me in the way of everlasting. As I approach this journey set before me, I hope to throw off any boundaries of unbelief and ward away any doubts that would hinder the work of Christ.

“…The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me.” Psalm 138:8.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1
