One of my favorite parts of all squad month so far has been all squad worship in the mornings. All thirty seven of us worshipping Jesus together in the same room to start the day off. It’s been incredible and some of my favorite moments of the month so far. I’m telling you friends, the power in that room in indescribable. The Spirit moves…powerfully. He tell us that when two or three are gathered, there He is in the midst. (Matthew 18:20) Well let me tell you, when thirty four are gathered, pouring their hearts out to our Abba and crying out that We Want More of You, God – He is very evidently there.
One morning- we were worshipping and as I keep repeating…it was super powerful. I was just pouring my heart out to my Jesus and He put a picture in my mind. He reminded me of a sweet memory and then spoke to me through it.
When I was a little girl, my family and I would take little road trips to the beach in Galveston, Texas often. It was always a fun time! Mom and Dad would wake me and Tyler up super early in the morning, even carrying us to the van. The seats were always laid down and a pallet of comfy blankets and pillows were there for us to go back to sleep during the drive to the beach! Those were the days! We always spent a ton of time at the beach. We played in the water, in the sand, and just had really good family time together. What sweet memories!
Some of my favorite memories of those days were me and Daddy always going to the deep part of the ocean. Mom never wanted to go very deep into the water because the water is pretty gross, the seaweed is abundant, and she “can’t see her feet.” Tyler was still just a cute little bitty guy (with his cute little chunky baby cheeks :)), so him and Mom built sandcastles. However…Daddy and I loved going to the deep part! We would sit on the beach for a while with everyone and then one of us would say, “Let’s go to the deep part!” I could always count on him to be up for it with me! I could always count on him for sweet adventure, excitement, and challenge!
God put this on my heart the other day. He showed me that I was never worried, never anxious, never afraid of going to the deep waters because I was with my Daddy. There was no fear at all because I was with him and “he could do anything.” Mom also never worried about me because I was with him. I loved going to “the deep part” because I loved spending that adventurous time with my Daddy, being brave with him, and just having fun with him.
God said- “Look at what a picture that is of you and Me. I call you out to deep waters. You cannot always see your feet or where you are going, but you can always be absolutely fearless, absolutely free of any anxiety or worry, and full of complete trust because you are with Me. I want you to come out to the deep waters where you must trust Me more- I want you to experience this crazy, awesome adventure called life that I have planned for you- but you must come, you must get away from the comforts of the shore. I am your Heavenly Father and I desire an abundant life for you, a life full of sweet adventures, crazy challenges where your courage and bravery are stretched and grow, and a life that is full of excitement and joy. Come with me! Let’s go to the deep part!”
Fear steals. Don’t let fear steal the amazing, abundant, and full life that God has for you, friends! It’s just too good! Go to the deep part and LOVE IT!
“It’s worse to spend your life on the outside looking in, wondering what if, than it is to try and dare greatly and risk the chance of failure. Dare greatly; get in the arena and try.” – Brene Brown
Love you all!
