Wow time has flown by.  It is almost 3:00 am as I write this and I am
sad this night is about to end. Our first month is over; tomorrow afternoon we
take a train back to Gua Musang to start our “travel day” to Australia.  We will be there for two days then take a
train back to Kuala Lumpur where we will stay for a couple days before we take
a bus to Singapore where we will fly out of to Australia.  This month has been nothing short of
amazing.  We have been so incredibly
blessed with the people we have been surrounded by.  For example we spent all this evening
visiting with two different families we have been blessed to get to know.

After we finished with the English classes today we went to
visit with a family and members of the church that they have started.  These people are crazy and so passionate
about God and the work he is doing in this city.  It has been such a blessing working alongside
them and seeing their boldness and devotion.
Hearing them worship and praise our Father is breath taking and just
thinking about it brings tears of joy to my eyes.  They asked us if we would make a western dish
for them and requested Sheppard’s Pie.
We had to adjust the recipe just slightly but it turned out
WONDERFUL.  They barbqued a wild boar
that was delicious, it’s hard to say if it’s better than some good ol pulled
pork back home.  There were a few other
dishes that the other people brought.  I
also got to try Pamela which, to quote one of my teammates, is like all the
best parts of grapefruit without the bad.
The boys enjoyed a game of soccer while the girls were cooking and then
we all watched as Manchester United beat Liverpool.

Once we arrived back at the house we are staying at we
fellowshipped with the family for a few hours before heading to bed.  They are super nice people and blessed us in
so many ways.  While we were talking they
offered us NesCafe and some fruit and even gave one of the girls a gown/dress
after she commented one of the ladies.
Even though there is a slight language barrier they were more than eager
to get to know us and spend time with us.
Their kids have attended the English classes both weeks and even helped
us paint on the murals some this last week.

I am going to miss the people that I have met this
month.  Each one of them has blessed me
in one way or another and forever left an impact on me.  I know that there is no end to God’s love and
the blessings he wants to pour out on us, but I can’t imagine being more
blessed than I have been this month.  God
is so amazing and yet I forget that fact.
I am reminded of the verse in Matthew and Luke where Jesus says “if you
who are evil know how to give good gifts, how much more will your Father who’s
in heaven give good gifts to those who ask.”
These two families, one who is Christian and one who is Hindu, have both
given us gifts and blessed us and they are evil, so why am I hesitant to ask of
my Father who is good and has no evil in him at all.  I pray that I remember to look to Him who
gives good gifts for all my needs.

As I said, we leave tomorrow to start making our way to
Australia for our next ministry location.
Please continue to remember my team and my squad in your prayers.  Please be praying for the family we have been
staying with.  That our presence here
will leave an impact on them and that God will be the one glorified through
that presence.  I know that in JESUS name
this family will be brought out of the bondage of idolatry and will come to know
the love of the ONE true GOD.  Thank you
for your continued love, prayer, and support. LOVE YOU ALL J
