The Night the Walls
Came Down
Since arriving to Malaysia we have been in three different
cities and this has been the first one that when we arrived we actually felt
like it was where we were supposed to be.
It wasn’t until tonight that I understood why. Let me start out with a quick background as
to how we ended up here. First, the
ministry we are working with is using our team to start a new branch of their
organization in this city so we are breaking ground in so many ways. Second, when we arrived we were supposed to
stay at the center but it wasn’t ready so we had to find other living
arrangements. We have ended up living
with a Hindu family that brought our contact into Kuala Lipis to start the
English center we are working with. The
family has just built an addition on to their house so that the whole family
could live together and have invited us to stay in two of the new rooms even
though they have yet to bring a priest in to pray and bless the house. Since finding out that little tid bit we knew
that we had a great opportunity to invite God into this house and bless this
house with the love of a God and Father that hears us. I
would also like to share that this team is amazing and I know that this is the
family God has placed me with for this season.
The last three nights we have been opening up and getting vulnerable
with each other and solidifying the unity that has been there since the
beginning. Tonight during feedback and
after we shared our hearts and got real and raw with each other and the last of
the walls came down, once they were down God blew up our team.
Tyler saw a vision of Satan’s hold over this family beginning
to weaken as Tyler was describing his vision I was sitting there and was
speaking out “Yes Father” and just asking him to bring more, to continue to
join us and the Holy Spirit FELL on our team.
We began to pray over the house and the family some walked around
touching the walls but all I could do was just sit there. As I was sitting there words just started to
pour into my head and I began speaking them out over this house and this
family. I started to feel a tingle in my
lips and my hands so I placed my hands on the wall behind me and just started
praying aloud but still softly since we were so close to the family. I was praying for chains to be broken for
Satan’s hold to be broken over this house and this family and the more I prayed
my voice, with no intention or help from me, began to rise louder and
louder. The louder I got I felt Satan
trying to tell me to get quite because they could hear but it just made my
voice rise that much more, not going to lie it was kind of strange but at the
same time I was at total peace not controlling what my voice was doing. The whole time I was praying my hands and my
arms felt like they were glued to the wall and I couldn’t’ move them.
After we prayed over the house and the family, we gathered
together as a team and placed our arms around each other in a circle and began
to pray. We could feel Satan attacking
us and what we were doing but all the while knowing OUR GOD IS STRONGER!!!!!!
He has gone before us to prepare the path and he follows behind to guard
us. WE HAVE NO FEAR for greater is HE
who is in us than he who is in the world!!
Tonight was so powerful and if there was any doubt in my mind about
being here it has completely vanished, because while praying with the group my
entire leg started tingling so I started praying for the person that was in
this house who’s leg was bothering them that it would be completely healed and
they would know it was only through God that it was done and that as a result
they would seek Him out and would notice the shift in the atmosphere that this
team brought when we entered into this house.
I prayed that God’s light would begin to shine in that house, in this
town, and in this country as a result of the shift in the atmosphere that was
happening. One of my teammates was being
attacked while we prayed and she even said later that she just felt heaviness
and couldn’t explain it. While we were
praying I saw her struggling so I placed my hand on her head and began praying
for her and again words just poured out of my mouth so fast that I almost
couldn’t form the word completely. It
was nothing short of AMAZING the poser and presence the Holy Spirit brought to
our room. Right after we said Amen and
left the room one of the guys from the family came and turned on the light in
the hallway that was pitch black and started hanging around us, this is the
same guy who has been shy around us all week, and I immediately felt like
change just took over this house.
I know that this happened because of our willingness to open
up and take down the walls that we had built up around us. It is natural to put up walls to protect us
from hurt and judgment, but by doing that we hinder the work that God wants to
do in us and through us. I saw so much
change in my team tonight and it was beautiful.
This family took down walls and invited us into their home and even
fellowshipped with us. There is a
language barrier that God has crossed with his love and it has been
awesome. When this family took down
walls and opened up their home and invited us in, even though it is against
their customs to do so before they have had the house blessed by their priest,
then invited in God. I want to remind
you all of something, where you go God goes.
You are his vessel and you carry His power with you everywhere you go
and as a result you change atmospheres, you break chains, you bring people out
of bondage, and you cause demons to flee.
There is so much power in you when you tear down the walls and let God
pour into and out of you. Embrace the
son or daughter he has created you to be and speak truth against the lies satan
is speaking over you. “Resist the devil
and he will flee from you. James 4:7”
Satan is POed at this team right now and has already started
attacking us while we were praying.
Please be in prayer over our team.
Pray for courage to continue in what we have started. Pray for peace knowing that God is with us
and that when we are being attacked it is because satan knows he’s in
trouble. Continue to pray for unity,
openness, and bonding amongst all of us.
We know God still has so much more in store for our team and after
tonight I know that it is nothing short of amazing. Thank you for your continued prayer and
