Hello Everyone!! Welcome to my World Race Blog! I’m so excited that you’ve decided to follow me through this journey. I’ve never blogged before, so I’m a little nervous and also excited about using this venue to share my life and the experiences God brings me through!!

For those who don’t know me well…

  • I grew up on a farm in beautiful, rural West Virginia.
  • I lived with my parents and three awesome younger sisters!
  • I went to college at Fairmont State University where I received a BA in Political Science and a BA in National Security and Intelligence.
  • Upon graduating, I moved to Richmond, VA where I now live and work. This is where the fun part of the story begins, but you’ll have to read my blog on “How I Was Called To The Mission Field” to find out more. 🙂
The Sisters: Me Rachael, Michelle and Nicole.

  • I was raised in a loving Christian home and gave my life to Christ when I was 8 years old.
  • I have a big extended family, and I hold them all very close to my heart. Family gatherings rock.
  • I love music and books and good conversations.
  • I have a 5 year old dog named Syrus. He’s more like my kid than my dog. I’m convinced he’s the best dog ever, so I tend to spoil him. A lot.
My pride and joy – Syrus

  •  I love the all things outdoorsy: Hunting, fishing, farming, hiking, backpacking, white water rafting, rock-climbing (tho I’m not very good!), camping, 4-wheeling, and my newest hobby-geocaching!
  • I am basically a little bit of everything. And I’m very versatile. They say there are two sides to every coin, and well, I’m definitely not just one-sided! I can be in a dress at a fancy restaurant one day, and mudding on 4-wheelers the next.
Me and my best friend Deanna after a 4-wheeling adventure!

  • Being active in everything is sort of how I’m lived my whole life. From church, 4-H, firefighting, sports and public speaking, I will try anything! I’m very much a people person and anything that gets me involved with a group of people, I’m in, especially if it involves helping those in need.
  • God has given me awesome friends. Some that have been around nearly my whole life. Some for just a short time, but they are all wonderful and a blessing.

There’s alot more to ‘me’ than words can sum up in this one page. But I feel like this is a fairly good start!!! Plus, as God takes me through this journey of life, and the World Race, I’m sure you’ll learn lots more about me! And hopefully, I’ll learn some about you too!
