Well I guess blogging is something that I’ll be doing now, so bare with me as I try to throw up all my thoughts in an understandable manner…

This first blog is going to be the whole getting-to-know-me post. So like I said: Bare with me.

Let’s start with a list, everyone loves a solid list, right? Maximum information, minimum verbatim.

Things I quite enjoy:

  • HammockingHammocking anywhere doing anything is where the fun is, but my favorite thing to do in a hammock is having a solid God-time. There is absolutely nothing more peaceful than when you’re in between two trees somewhere reading your bible and journaling… I highly recommend this.
  • Family timeYeah they’re all pretty wonderful; I have 2 terrific parents and 2 fabulous older sisters.
  • Coffee Give me anything but decaf
  • Fluffy animals- Particularly baby alpacas and puppies
  • Music- I’m open to most styles, but my go-to is indie/folk/alternative… mix those together and you have a beautiful medley of the perfect sound combinations
  • Crafting- This could mean anything from knitting, to hot-gluing things together, to jewelry making. If I see something full priced at a store… I’ll most likely try to make it first or find it at a thrift store- leading me to my next bullet point:
  • Thrifting- “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”, right? Right. There’s really nothing I enjoy more than finding a sick over-sized sweater in the men’s section or pieces of jewelry that I could potentially craft together into one piece or something else completely random. I like to call this “Therapeutic Thrifting”

Now that’s quite a solid list I’d say, so let’s finish it off by a random fact about me!

Ready for it?….

First semester of my freshman year of college, I worked as an Alpaca Trainer! (Yes you read that correctly) Now, I’m honestly still not even sure I know what that means, but I basically got to lead baby and teenage alpacas around a pin a couple hours a day! And YES. They were fluffy.

Still don’t believe me? Here’s a couple pictures:

 Yeah, that’s real life.

Well thanks for baring with me through all this jibber jabber, and hopefully you learned a little more about me! I will post another blog shortly about how I was called to Gap Year and missioning in general! So get pumped.
