WOW! i can’t believe that we have one more week of minisrty before we head off to debrief!! it almost doesn’t seem like reality. it has been such an incredible 11 months! God has shown up in so many different ways, and in so many different places. i have expeienced God in areas i have never known were possible.
as i am beginning to get anxious about the end of the race, and everything that is to come as i enter back into the states, i’m trying to not loose sight of what is still happening here. my team, plus beloved one, have been living in Jinotepe, Nicaragua for the past couple of weeks. We are staying at a hotel that a missionary couple runs. they use it mainly to host teams that come through here. they work with a ministry called La Quinta in a town called Duriamba(not sure about the spelling). we have been going there throughout the course of the week helping them with some projects. the main things we have been doing is painting, and the guys helped put in a cement pathway around the church to help block the water from the rain, so it doesn’t ruin the foundation.

this week we are focusing more on the carnival we are putting together for saturday and sunday. we are splitting into groups, and going out into the barrios (neighborhoods) to pass out flyers. also there are groups going out today and thursday to one of the biggest, if not the biggest, dump in Nicaragua to love on the 300 people that live there.
it’s not over yet! God still has tons of things planned for this next week. i am so exctied to be a part of it!!
