This is what happens when Seth and I are in charge of games:

We got all the kids in a large circle, and Seth was going to explain how to play ‘duck, duck, goose’…simple enough? So Seth explained, and even did and example. He started the game by going around the circle and saying duck, duck, duck as he patted the children’s heads. Then he says goose, and all these children get up and run after Seth. Seth runs around the whole basketball court, and then ends up in the mush pot, because he got tagged-go figure. So the next kid gets up and follows Seth’s lead. And when he gets to ‘goose’ all these children get up and run after the kid-then that kid sits in the mush pot with Seth. After this happened two more times; we finally realized that they have made up a Philippine version of this age old children’s game.

New rules of ‘duck, duck, goose’:
The person that is it goes around the circle saying duck as they pat the heads-then when they say goose everyone that got tagged plus the goose has to get up and chase after the ‘it’ person. They have to chase him all round the area that the game is taking place until he gets tagged. Then the ‘it’ person sits in the middle, and the person that tagged him is next.

Sounds like a great improvement if you ask me.
