This afternoon at 3:30pm we landed in Manilla, Philippines and were greeted by Jeff from Kids International Ministries. He had just dropped off another World Race squad 12 hours earlier and was at the airport picking up a new squad ready and rearing to go. He welcomed us warmly into his home and ministry with beds, a warm meal, and pampering.
I fly out tomorrow morning with 4 other teams to the island of Mindanao – which means The Land of Promise – to spend the month of ministry there living in the mountains working with children, prison ministry, prostitutes, and whatever the Lord has waiting for us. K.I.M is an incredible ministry and I am very excited to partner with them this month! I’ve never been to Asia but I can tell you that the Philippines already feels like home. It has a peace and grace about it that I haven’t felt before. I’m excited to share this month with all of you at home and hope you can get just a taste of this country and ministry.
