Alone time is vital to survival throughout the day
It doesn’t matter if you are an introvert or an extrovert
If you don’t have alone time with Jesus
Your day is going to be much more of an uphill battle
But alone time is all about your perspectives
Or at least changing your perspective
Despite what the rumors say space is attainable on the race
Your American perspective of space just has to change
You can’t view alone time as being in a room by yourself
Or sitting in your favorite chair drinking coffee alone
Or driving in a car with no passengers
But that doesn’t mean without these things you can’t achieve your alone time
You just better change your way of thinking what alone time is
Alone time becomes lying in bed with headphones shoved in your ears
While someone lies right beside you typing on their computer
Alone time becomes sitting on the rocky beach watching the waves
While twelve feet away men are pushing boats into the water and causing a huge commotion

Alone time becomes staying up until 3 am
Just to be at the huge table to spread out all of your things to read and study
Alone time becomes finding a room in a church
That no one else uses so you can work out
Alone time means pulling up a chair to face the woods
And tune the world out to pray about the day

Alone time becomes sitting on a bean bag in a corner coloring
While the room is full of other conversations and movie watching
Alone time becomes sitting in a big room at 5 am
With four other people all having separate Jesus times
Alone time becomes waking up early to go sit outside
While everyone else is asleep right inside the one big, open room
Alone time becomes finding a nice little spot on the roof
To slip away and draw pretty little pictures

Alone time becomes tip toeing through the hotel room
To go outside to the hallway without waking anyone up
Alone time becomes slipping to the side of the balcony
To bask in God’s beauty as you watch the sun set

Are you alone with Jesus?
