Week one…..check.
Wow I can’t believe it has only been one week on the field!
So let’s dive in to ministry.
Team Monarch is in the Dominican traveling to villages in the mountains. And these mountains are absolutely gorgeous! The scenery God has laid before our team this month is beyond amazing and such a blessing.
We traveled to two different villages this past week and were able to have intentional conversations with the people. It has been refreshing to have the people respond to us with open hearts and a willingness to tell us their stories. That’s been the nice part of the week.
And then reality hits me in the face and I think about how we only spent two or three days with these people and then we are leaving them not knowing when someone else will come behind us to minister to these people again or disciple them further.
So I keep having to remind myself that I am bringing love to these people. Even if just for a thirty minute conversation, these men and women are getting to experience the love of Jesus through our team. And I can only pray and trust that God will continue to pour his love out to these people once we are gone.
On a completely unrelated note: I AM FULLY FUNDED!!!! This leaves me so speechless and utterly amazed by God’s provision. THANK YOU for being a part of this!! I don’t have enough words of gratitude and thanks to express my appreciation.
