Here I am at Training Camp with an assignment to write a blog about this week. For starters this week has been rockin' and absolutely incredible. But all of that is another blog for another day. Today I want to tell you a different story.

We were finally, after much anticipation, told who are small teams are going to be made up of. Boy oh boy is my team sah-weet!! I can't wait to introduce you guys to all of them (which I will also save for another blog another day). After our team leaders for our squad were announced every leader announced their specific team. With our teams determined we were told to go do something together, make a memory, and eat dinner. Simply put: just spend time with each other and do whatever the Lord is directing us to do. It didn't take long for us to get in the car and determine our first stop needed to be Wal-Mart to get passport photos taken. In the car driving down the road….check. Conversation was completely casual just trying to determine what we wanted to do after leaving Wal-Mart. And then Leah boldly stepped up and asked us what we thought about going to a hospital or nursing home for maybe like 30 minutes. Of course our group immediately thought that would be a good idea and agreed we would look for a hospital after getting passport photos. So we are driving up to Wal-Mart and we see this…

The Hope Center….a cancer treatment center placed directly bedside Wal-Mart. Can we say thank you Lord!

A few of the teammates went inside the children's area to ask if we could just come and pray and hang out with these children. She was shocked by the question and said she had never had that asked before so she needed to talk to her boss. Her boss said we could not do that, but we all determined quickly that would not stop us from praying for these people. Outside we went to walk around the building lifting up these lives in prayer to the Lord. After we finished walking around the building a few times we decided to go inside and take a picture of a plaque right at the door. Leah already had a camera in her pocket so she went in before us. When the rest of us walked inside Leah had struck up a conversation with a sweet, wheelchair bound lady sitting right beside the Hope Center plaque. Ms. Connie wanted us to pray for her and when Justin asked her if there was anything specific we could pray for she told us she had cancer and wanted to live. She had a new grandbaby and wanted to live and see that grandbaby grow up. Ok Ms. Connie of course we will pray for you right here, right now. This lady loved the Lord so much and it radiated through her smile. Just a sweet, gentle spirit for us to lift up to the Lord and in faith ask for this horrible cancer to be removed. You may think this day we blessed a lady with prayer for a removal of cancer. In actuality our team was blessed by Ms. Connie and I am so grateful and thankful this is where our journey began as a team. BE OBEDIENT.

Precious Ms. Connie with our newly formed team

This is only the beginning of so many stories to be told. Stick around. It is going to be fabulous. And I can't wait to share my stories with you and for you to become a part of them.
