I hate to write…so I’m going to show you our ministry in Viet Nam for this past month with pictures.

We held babies at the orphanage….

We picked peanuts with the nuns who worked at the nursing home (BTW, nursing homes in Vietnam are nothing like the ones at home.)

We played and taught swimming to older orphans….

We painted an outside wall for a ministry….

And we worked with children at a Therapy Place….

I really enjoyed my month in Vietnam…I made my first non-American friend, the daughter of our ministry host, and found out how hard goodbyes can be.

We stayed in a hotel! We enjoyed hot water! We had wi-fi! But, at the end of the month one of my team mates left the race…a sad goodbye. Then, another of my team mates was tapped to be our Squad Leader….I’ll still see her but it won’t be the same. (Editor’s note: When the race beings, the Squad Leaders are previous World Racers who are with the group for the first 5 months. At the end of month 4, new Squad Leaders are chosen from within the group and trained during month 5. The current leaders will then leave and N Squad will be on their own.)

Most teams were re-assigned at the end of month 4 so now I’m with a new group of girls. Again….goodbyes. My new team is named “Credence” and you can see my new team mates and follow their blogs by checking out the left column of this blog. (Editor’s hint: You’ll probably learn more about what Meagan is doing by following her team mates blogs 🙂

Thanks for praying for me and supporting me. Pray that this new team can really connect and work well together. I am learning a lot. I am now in Malawi, Africa.
