Sorry if some of this doesn’t make sense because I’m not a writer, but I’m trying! 🙂
We went to a Baptist church yesterday; the services was pretty good…really missing my own church though! When we got there the ladies pretty much just planed our afternoon and told us that we were going to have lunch with them and then come with them to a children’s thing that they did. They wanted us to lead it for that day. We all were like, ok….. what can we do? I remembered some Cubbies songs so we started out with that and then we did a little Bible story with them. We kinda failed at it, but the kids were just happy we were there. We met inside someone “house” (It was really just a really tiny room) because it was raining outside. The neighborhood we were in was really poor. We thought that where the dorm we are staying in was poor, but we were wrong. It was crazy to see where people live and how happy they can be.

A lot of the school girls here have been telling us how beautiful we are and telling us that we have beautiful noses. They would grab their noses and squeeze them to make them look like ours. We wanted to let them know that we thought they were beautiful just the way God made them and we wanted to beat them to it before they could tell us that we were beautiful. We came up with an idea of writing down Bible verses on little pieces of paper with a sucker taped to it to pass out. We were going to ask the Holy Spirit who to give them to. Today we went to the mall where we have been talking to the school girls (there’s a lot of young girls who hang out at this mall), but when we went, there wasn’t hardly any girls around and we realized that God had another plan and wanted us to give them out to women not just girls. So we got into groups of two and prayed together and asked the Holy Spirit to tell us who He wanted us to tell they were beautiful and give the verses to. It was hard for me to walk up to someone I didn’t know and tell them they were beautiful, but I did it and it got a little easier. Sometimes it was hard to know if the Holy Spirit was talking to me or not, but I tried and that’s all that God wants from me, is to try.
