Visited a Travel Nurse Specialist to get a bunch of shots that I need to keep from getting some really weird diseases (like Japanese Encephalitis and Yellow Fever – I hadn’t even heard of Japanese Encephalitis before, but apparently I have to have it).
Funny story….right after I got 5 shots and went to pay my $1000+ bill, I started blacking out and had to sit down. The nurse came over and said I was really white and made me tuck my head between my knees. OK…not so funny. Almost passing out is no fun.
This is one of the “not-so-fun” steps in getting ready for The Race, but God got me through it and I know He will get me through even harder things to come.
