There are 4 financial deadlines left: I need $6,500 by June 15 in order to leave the country, $11,000 by the end of September, and I need my total of $15,500 by January 1, 2013 to finish out my last 6 months of the race. Before training camp, I looked at my account and saw I was around $400 short of the June 15 deadline. Five hundred dollars does not seem like a large amount compared to the $15,500 total, but God has been showing me how significant a dollar is, so I am grateful for every big or small donation. It is always one step further towards my goal and one more partnership with someone who has agreed to support me on this journey the Lord has me on.

So, I left for training camp last Saturday and came back home today. What a difference God can make in one week! The difference from being able to leave on the World Race or not. Once I arrived home from camp,  a week without technology, I immediately checked my fundraising account. Most World Racers can agree that we check our account status almost as much as we check Facebook. Over the past week, people have joined in supporting me financially by providing over $400. I haven't even done any fundraisers, letters or much of anything recently — it just goes to show that the Lord provides!

In the spirit of fundraising and numbers, I have linked to my wonderful teammate Brandi Wilcox's blog that spells out all the details and numbers of where the $15,500 I am raising goes towards. I want all my supporters to know what the money they have donated will be covering. I am so deeply thankful for all who have agreed to partner with me either through a one time donation or monthly contribution. It is not about the money you have given, it is about the commitment, encouragement and support you have provided me throughout this whole process. God has used each and every one of you to proclaim truth over me and the decision to join the World Race. I cannot wait to share the life He has in store for me with all of you.

Look out tomorrow for an update on training camp! It was a week that has changed my life and introduced me to my family that I will be doing life with in these upcoming 11 months. And I get to introduce you to my team! They are 6 of the strongest and most loving women I will ever have the privilege of learning from. I hope you all take the time to read their blogs, as well. On the field, we will all be posting about similar experiences, but as my sister pointed out today, it's so cool to see how different we all perceive the same situations. Feel free to post comments on their blogs, as well. I cannot tell you how supported and special we feel when people we do and do not know post comments.

Until tomorrow,

MK
