Well….. WE MADE IT TO ALBANIA! After sitting at the airport for 10 hours, getting on an 11 hour flight, a layover, then another flight, then a bus ride, we finally made it to our ministry host! This place is so beautiful. We will be doing a lot of manual labor in the grounds of the camp but if I get to look at the mountains all day, I’d do anything they needed done!
It is such a blessing to be here. To live in community with my squad and my team, to serve them and to serve my host. We have an amazing opportunity here to love people like Christ does and SHOW them that through our positive attitudes, the way we love, and the way we serve and work hard.
I cannot wait to see what the rest of our time at this ministry holds.
There has already been so much growth here in myself and in my team.
I am constantly being reminded that nothing that is worth it comes easy, and that yes, it is going to be tough and a challenge but how great it is going to be when we come out the other side of it all! Iron sharpens iron, there is heat, friction, its uncomfortable. But what comes out of it is smooth and with power.
This has already been such a growing experience. Our host is an amazing source of wisdom and knowledge and it has been so great to hear the Lord flow through him right in front of us. It is such a blessing to get to serve him! We gardened for over 5 hours the other day, something none of us would willingly want to do back home… but the Lord has completely changed our perspective. It is OUR honor to serve and work HARD to show the love of our Savior!!
I will try and post blogs as much as I possibly can to keep everyone updated, wifi is tough to find!!! I am still not fully funded yet, so please if y’all feel led, support me and join me on this amazing journey!!!! Whether you support me financially or not, please please pray! Pray for my team, my squad, me, my family. It makes a world of difference and we need all the prayer we can get to further better the Kingdom!
Love you guys so so much. Thank you so much for all of our support!!!
Agape,
Mckayla
