I messed up. I meant to include this in my last blog, but I forgot. But I am of the persuasion that it is hardly ever too late to start anew, which is why it is always appropriate to start a bad day over again by eating breakfast for lunch, dinner, or dessert, and why I will simply post again a few days later in order to share the following information.
That breakfast thing is pretty unrelated, but it’s seriously changed my life, and I recommend you try it on your next less than stellar day.
Anyway, a few items of importance:
1. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to those of you who have offered words of encouragement, prayers, and monetary support. I often find myself feeling like a pile of grateful mush. It sounds awful, but it’s great. So thank you.
2. If you’d like to support and get yourself something to prove it, some people who are more gifted at taking my ideas and making them real and also aesthetically pleasing than I am have helped me design a shirt that you can have.
3. The shirt is super soft and features the simple phrase “Go do.” It’s a phrase that is also the title of a song by Jonsi, which is also featured in We Bought A Zoo, one of the greatest movies ever, but more importantly it’s a phrase that means something to me. Really, if you don’t remember things well forget that last part and remember the following. It’s a phrase that is scribbled in a journal next to my processings about what it meant to have “spiritual aggressiveness” called out in me just a couple weeks before my whole episode where I came undone upon discovering the race. It’s a phrase that I was uncomfortable with because it sounds harsh and mean, but that I’ve come to appreciate as a spontaneity that only exists because of Christ in me because I am NOT a spontaneous, impulsive person on my own. Even my impulses are planned.
Here’s the shirt:
4. It costs $20. Which is cool, if you’re into efficiency and comfy shirts and helping people. Because you get a sweet shirt, AND you help me out a ton.
5. If you’d like to support me this way, let me know how many/what size(s) via email at [email protected]. When you do I’ll tell you where to send your monies!
6. I’ll collect orders for a few weeks and then order and get them sent out when they come in. I’ll keep you updated on where we’re at in that process as necessary.
7. Thank you all so much for loving me and supporting me and for helping me to love others the way you’ve loved me!
