How true is that? They said that later on he tried to lift the car again but he couldn’t.
I know there are a lot of things a person could attribute this to whether it be the sudden adrenaline rush or the fact that this could be a hoax, but this isn’t the first story like this that I’ve heard. I’ve heard countless stories like this before. It might not be of someone’s life being saved, but it’s equally as miraculous.
I met a pastor in Africa who said he had a friend that walked across the water of a lake to get to the church every day so that he could preach to the congregation.
I met another pastor who said he walked in a torrential downpour to preach to a congregation and the entire way he didn’t get wet.
I met a kid who prayed for another kid to be healed from a rugby incident so that he could play in a tournament. The boy was immediately healed.
I met another guy who prayed for a blind man to receive his sight… and he did.
I saw a girl with a bum knee throw off her crutches and run around the room because God healed her.
So many miracles.
I was listening to Bill Johnson preach last night on my iPod (the only place I can hear him talk) and he said something about the fact that a culture of miracles can only come about by producing a culture of honor. Actually, I think it was Danny Silk’s idea, but Bill still endorses it. I look back to all of these stories and whatnot and I can honestly say that there’s one unifying factor: all of the people that these miracles flowed from embraced a lifestyle of honor.
What’s it going to take for us to live our lives more fully for Him? I think it’s going to require us to honor each other a lot more.
In the meantime, I’m trying to raise support for 2010 so that I can continue in the ministry I’m a part of. So far I’ve got thirteen prayer partners and ten financial partners. If you’d be interested in partnering with me in my ministry, send me an email here and let me know whether you want to be a prayer partner, financial partner, or both. If you’re willing to be a financial partner, please let me know how much you’d be willing to donate whether one time or monthly. It will help me in figuring out how well we’re doing in reaching my support goal. Thanks!
