As Thanksgiving is fast approaching, I’m quickly being reminded of all the things that I have been blessed with in the past year. And while I could say it’s been international travel, being able to minister overseas, helping train roughly 250+ new World Racers, or assist in developing new ministries and programs at AIM… I don’t think it’s any of that.
Without all of you, I wouldn’t be able to do any of this! You make it possible for me to wake up a generation to go out, change the lives in nations all over the world, only to have many of them come back and apply that change to the lives surrounding them in America. Just as God had to take out the Israelites in order to “bring them in”, so we’ve discovered we have to with some of those in our generation.
I was sitting in the living room with my roommate Mark last night after we helped out at the Volunteer Banquet at church. Someone on the television said, “recognize your dreams and your passions – pursue them and don’t let anything get in your way.” Immediately what came out of my mouth was, “I want to make a difference.”
But I want it to be a lasting impact.
All of this to say – I’m continuing on in the ministry for another year! Which means… I still would LOVE to have you partner with me in ministry whether that’s financially, through prayer, or even by walking some of this out with me in terms of hands-on ministry (which I’ve gotten to do with several of you and it’s been a JOY!).
Here’s a brief glimpse at what I’m planning in 2010:
Continuing to work as a member of the Marketing and Mobilization team of AIM
We get the word out about missions and what God’s doing around the world
Continuing work with the World Race
Training World Racers
Training Worship Leaders for the field
International travel to launches and debriefs
Lead worship at the 2nd Annual World Race Awakening Conference in Europe
Worship Leader Development
Something we hope to begin doing more and more through AIM
Human Trafficking Awareness
I have a passion for anti-trafficking initiatives and campaigns; interested in starting my own
Innovation Lab
Again, that’s just a glimpse. Inevitably, I’ll be doing more! No worries though, I’ll keep you in the loop!
All of this to say, in order for me to actively be involved in this ministry, I need your financial support and prayers for financial support! Already as this year is drawing to a close, I’ve taken a part-time job to help make ends meet. Has it impacted my work with the ministry? A little bit, actually. It definitely takes time away from it. I’m working a full-time job with the organization (which is a support-raised position), have part-time responsibilities with another department (support-raised position), and work a part-time job here in town. I’m essentially working two full-time jobs! I’d like that to not be the case.
My support goal for 2010 is $20,000 with an average of $1,000 raised on a monthly basis. What this will allow me to do is continue on in this ministry by giving me resources for food, student loan payments, health insurance (which I desperately need), and the like. The extra money that I don’t raise monthly, will help me with international travel to things like launches, debriefs, and the Awakening Conference in Europe.
If you would like to be a prayer partner of mine in 2010, you can sign up here. All you have to do is write in the message box, “prayer partner”. If you would like to be a financial partner, you can sign up here and write, “financial partner.” And if you want to do both, you can do that too. Either way, I’ll contact you with what the next steps are.
All donations are tax-deductible as Adventures In Missions is a 501c3 non-profit. You can even donate towards my ministry online by clicking the support link on the left-hand side or by clicking here. (You can even set it up to automatically give monthly from your checking or savings account).
Again – THANK YOU SO MUCH! I wouldn’t be able to do what I do if it wasn’t for you! I have big plans for my supporter-base over the course of the next year. This is my first year raising support State-side; I’ve learned what to do and what not to do… and what I can do better.
