I have to apologize for my absence on my blog the last week or more.  First I was in Guatemala for a week and now I’ve been in Georgia for the last two weeks playing my role in yet another World Race training camp for the January 2010 squads.  Over 115 Racers have been here getting equipped for their 11 months journey around the globe.  It’s been absolutely fantastic.  Here are some bullet points from this past week:

World Race Family.  There’s something powerful about being with ALL of the staff in ONE location.  We’re all from different backgrounds, we all have different stories, yet we all have a shared experience and shared passion for seeing our generation come alive and begin shaping our culture into something a little more like that Kingdom.  Since we operate two WR offices, one out of Michigan and the other out of Georgia, training camp is the one time we all get to spend some time together as one family.  I like it.

Breakthrough in the Racers.  I’d love to go into a lot of details about what training camp is like, but we tend to keep most everything a secret.  Why?  Because we do this thing a lot and there are a lot of things we repeat; to share what happens would steal from the experience that potential Racers reading my blog might have.  But let’s just say that I absolutely love seeing breakthrough happen in these Racers’ lives.  It’s probably one of the most powerful things to witness (to the right is a picture of Michael Hindes teaching the new World Racers).

Breakthrough in my own life.  I know this is going to sound crazy, but I’ve experienced breakthrough this week within my own life.  What happened?  Wednesday night of training camp I train the worship leaders on the squads and have them facilitate that evening of worship.  Let me just say that this group is TALENTED!  And the best part is that they have some genuine anointed worshipers on their teams.  I’ve been longing to have my heart break greater for the things of God; to feel His love for other people and to feel His love even for myself.  During worship Wednesday… these Racers brought me into it.  POWERFUL… I’m telling you… POWERFUL.

Kindle.  My dad purchased my mom a Kindle.  I’m not sure why, but probably just for the heck of it.  Deep down… I’m really jealous.

Deliverance.  My friend Andi is in Guatemala squad leading one of the World Race teams right now.  She’s pretty much incredible.  But to give you an idea of the kind of impact she’s making in lives, you should read this blog she wrote on ilsa.  It’s pretty much inspiring and makes you want to do what she’s doing… every day.

Alright, that’s all for this week.  I might post some other blogs or articles on some things I’ve been reading.  Also, I’m going to begin working on my year-end newsletter VERY soon.  My goal is to invest a lot of time into it so it’s really good… and cool looking.  If you don’t currently receive my newsletter, let me know and I’ll add you to the list.  Should be coming out at the end of November.

Love y’all!
