I went to Guatemala this weekend.  Most people don’t have such an opportunity and because of that, I’m incredibly grateful.  It’s your support that enables me to do things like this, to go touch lives and awaken a generation of young men and women to Kingdom life.  So before I continue, I’d like to say…

THANK YOU.

I’m not really sure where to begin and how to debrief the whole experience in my head.  I have so many thoughts and emotions floating around that I can’t seem to focus on just one to even begin sorting things out.  I guess I’ll start with why I even went to Guatemala in the first place.

I went to go help debrief the October 2008 World Race squad, do some worship with them, get to know them and talk about post-WR plans.  Yet because of the present political situation in Honduras, the June 2009 World Race squad was delayed in their travels and met with us also.  As a result, we had over 90 World Racers in one place at the same time!  It was a good time.

I met with a lot of people, had some great conversations, helped some people work through challenges, saw some friends, and was able to help lead these guys in worship Friday night.  It was great!  God showed up, people were delivered of some things, and many were refreshed as the Spirit was stirred.

That’s the basic idea of what happened while I was down there.

But as with many trips overseas, it seemed to flip a switch on the inside of me.  I’m still trying to sort through the reasons that I felt so alive in Guatemala.  I don’t think it was the country itself, necessarily.  I think it was the atmosphere.  I think it was because I was actually doing something that brought me a wealthy amount of energy, renewal, and life.

And I can’t help but have this desire to duplicate it.

I’m going to be working through that this week in my blog, sharing some stories and hashing out my thoughts.  Feel free to join me as I ponder the things inside of my head.

And thanks again for getting me to Guatemala!  If you would please considering supporting me so I can do things like this more often, you can do so by clicking the ‘Support Me’ link
