One night last week I couldn’t sleep so I decided that I wanted to ask God for a vision.  I get bored sometimes and want to grow in certain ways that He’s gifted me.  There are a lot of times that randomly throughout the day I get a vision.  I’ve only recently started to learn that it’s not necessarily my imagination going crazy, but typically these things stand for something else.  So I’m really wanting to refine this, strengthen it and get a good grasp on the thing.  The only way to do that is to ask God for more, right?

So I sat down at my desk and felt like I needed to put music in my ears.  I’ve been hooked on this Hillsong United song lately called “Tear Down The Walls”, so I picked it to listen to.  The Lord said to me, “listen to it and write down what you see.”

So I did.

It was actually pretty cool, the visions that He gave me to go with the music.  In some way I think what I saw was related to what was happening in the song, but I saw more to the picture – which is where God comes in.  Anyway, here’s the song and what I “saw” is what follows.

I see blood running down a wall from the stroke of a paintbrush, painted by a man in boldness.
He looks up and sees God – the Kingdom – descending on a cloud with might towards the wall.
The man watches.
The Kingdom crushes the wall before him as it settles on top.  Clouds of dust fall as the gate open [to the Kingdom] opens, and Light spills forth.  The man drops the brush and stands in awe… and waits.
The King is then walking out with outstretched arms hands.
The man puts his hands forth, and as they clasp with the King’s, Light, Joy and song fills the earth and draws all of creation in.
The Spirit fills the man and he swells with the glory and the LOVE OF GOD.
Then all freezes in standstill motion.
Eyes are locked – King to son – and Knowledge is transferred.  Work is commissioned.  Assignments are given.
His Kingdom will continue to crush walls;
hope will be restored;
night turned to day;
love dispensed with lavishness worldwide.
Kingdom will come.
