Sometimes God speaks to me through my dreams.  I know you might be wondering if that’s even still possible and my answer is, YES, I believe it’s still possible because He’s spoken to me some pretty radical things through my dreams, merely because I’ve asked Him to.

He’s also given me visions (like, during the day).

And oftentimes I sometimes wonder whether or not I’m really having a vision, at whether or not God’s really showing me something, or whether it’s just my overactive imagination.  But then I look back on these things and I realize that I don’t think it’s an overactive imagination because I have no reason to really conjure these things up.

I had two visions yesterday during Church service and I thought I’d share them with you because they’re that good.  God’s been teaching me the last several days about what it is to be a ‘vessel’.  These visions go right along with that (how fitting):

In the first one I saw a funnel floating in the air.  Below it was the ground and above it the sky.  Suddenly from above, water – glittery water – started pouring down (like rain) and landed all over the place.  The funnel caught a lot of it and directed the flow of water everywhere that it needed to go.

In the second vision I saw a man standing.  Behind him was all of heaven, all of Kingdom reality.  In front of him was the world as we commonly see it.  The Kingdom was pushing him from behind, holding him up.  The man could see it out of the corner of his eyes, knew it was behind him, but could not see it in front of him.  Suddenly, my view of the man changed and I saw him from in front.  I saw him, the bare ground before him, and the Kingdom behind him.  He stretched out his hands toward me and as he did, the Kingdom came bursting violently from out of them and flooded the world before him.  He closed his hands and when he did, the flow of Kingdom stopped.  He opened them again and reached out and the Kingdom burst forth once again.

So we are vessels, right?  He uses us to direct the flow of His love to others, whether that be through feeding them, providing for their needs, talking with them, or whatever.  We are vessels, bearers of God’s love.

The only way that His love is poured out, the only way that His Kingdom manifests itself violently (and effectively) in the world are during those times that we REACH OUT, open our hands, and let His Kingdom blossom from the core of our hearts.

We just have to be willing to reach out and let Kingdom love flow through us.

What are some visions or dreams you’ve had?
