I started making phone calls yesterday. I didn’t necessarily want to do it because I’m
not exactly a phone-type of guy. If you
want to talk to me, then I’d rather us meet over a cup of coffee or something…
and if that can’t happen then let’s shoot emails back and forth. There’s something that gets to me about
talking on a phone.
I’ve just never been ‘that guy.’
And so yesterday I made an incredible amount of phone calls
to people who are interested in the World Race.
See, I’m part of this ministry and team that’s doing our best to
mobilize a generation to go change the world – literally. We do this by interviewing them, training
them, and then sending the world-changers out to the nations. What happens when they come back here? They change our nation – the USA.
Sometimes God has to take us out in order to bring us back in (Deut.
6). He did it with the Israelites, He
did it with me, and He’s been consistently doing it with others.
All of this to say: I spent a few hours on the phone
yesterday. Surprisingly, I had a lot of
great conversations. One of the people
that really made me smile said, “I want to change the world.” It’s that kind of stuff that makes me keep
going; it’s that kind of stuff that allows me to know we’re on the right track,
that a generation is truly being awakened and that we’re undoubtedly using them
to see God’s Kingdom advance and our world permanently change for the better.
Unfortunately, I can’t do this without any of you – the body
of Christ! I’m in the process of raising
prayer and financial support for this ministry, which will enable me to be a
part of it. Not only am I helping with
these phone interviews, but also with training teams and leaders, going out to
the nations and launching/debriefing squads, awakening this generation at
conferences all across the globe, and to grow the ministry that we see flourish
through blogging… plus more!
