I love those moments in life where God brings something into light for you, something that you’ve known as been there for so long but you just didn’t know how to put words to it. I’ve for so long searched the depths of who I am to put the perfect words to the most imperfect of situations, to paint illusions of grandeur in your minds, just so for once you might get a glimpse of something more. And for so long I’ve been searching the very depths of who I am in an attempt to figure it all out, but I always come up short. I always find that I’m lacking in one way or another. And maybe it’s because what I’ve been looking for is so much larger than what I can find within me apart from the King.
I went to dinner with Caroline last night, one of my favorite people that graces the surface of this planet, one of the radicals that I call a sister, that breathes fire and speaks Kingdom into existence around her. She’s a rock and a fierce daughter of the King. And I suppose I could talk about how awesome she is all day, but that would neglect the whole point of me writing this. During our conversation I let my curiosity get the best of me and I asked her, “Caroline, what is your heart?” Without hesitation she replied,
And because of the fire in her eyes and the confidence with which she spoke, I knew she meant it. And I couldn’t ignore what was going on inside of me either, her words sparked something, they stirred my spirit and I felt that tinge of what I was looking for surge through me. I just replied with, “you really mean it!”
It’s so true for all of us and for our generation. There’s a growing group of radicals storming this world and rattling the very gates of hell. We’re not letting anything stop us! Why? We’re claiming the dead for the Kingdom; what we once were, we don’t want to remain. We were once dead, but now alive in Christ. Wake up, wake up, WAKE UP!
I think the only reason that I’m here traversing the globe and doing and seeing radical things is because I believed what I was told wasn’t true. I believed that there truly is something more than what I was in, and I think that’s where it all begins. It all begins with not accepting the norm of the realities we’re faced with. Here I’ve been traveling the world with a group of 26 people who believed the exact same thing that I did: there’s something more to this picture.
It’s the Kingdom.
I didn’t ever think that I’d find myself propelled into a different reality than I was born into. I might be taken for a nutcase when I get back home, but it’s okay because us fools shame the wise anyhow. What He sees I’m now seeing and it’s a reality that this world doesn’t quite understand. I’m part of that generation that summons what’s supposed to be out of what isn’t. Because…
We cleanse the lepers.
We drive out demons.
We see life where there’s death.
We don’t see bones, we see an army.
We speak Truth amidst doubt.
We proclaim peace in chaos.
We do the impossible.
We love the unloveable.
We speak the unspeakable.
Our power is our weakness.
It’s Kingdom… and it engulfs every aspect of our lives. Because of who we are, we’re not allowed to not let this be. We’re sons and daughters and we CRAVE opportunity to make ourselves at home everywhere we go, to see Kingdom come. We pray the prayers and we’re done allowing them to be hallow. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy WILL BE DONE on earth as it is in heaven!” And we’ll be damned if we let the devil have any more parties on property that is rightfully God’s! The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, and how dare Satan think he can walk all over what is not only the King of Kings’, but also our inheritance! NO MORE! NO MORE! NO MORE!
We’re crying out from the very depths of our souls that Kingdom WILL come on earth as it is in heaven! We are the hands and feet of Christ, sons and daughters of God, and we will not be silent and we will not be quiet! Our battlecry is the very heart of God screaming out to the nations around us to WAKE UP and pursue a more fulfilling life than one of complacency and boredom.
We don’t accept reality, just KINGDOM. Anything contrary is at odds with the only Truth we know.
And our heart is to wake up the Church! Too many Christians walk around during the week boasting about what they did on Sunday and neglecting the fact that their workplace or homes during the week are teeming with the foul stinch of the devil. As a son and daughter of God you have a responsibility to BRING THE KINGDOM WHEREVER YOU ARE! God’s placed it in you. Why do you think you have really cool spiritual armor? It’s not to sit around and look pretty in! It’s meant to get dirty! So go kill darkness already! It’s every little boys’ dream for crying out loud!
So stop reading this and start proclaiming life where you’re at.
BRING THE KINGDOM AND LET’S SEE SOME DEAD RAISED!!! Because I just worked myself up and that’s what we’re doing…
