— Luke 10.39

I know what you might be thinking – how long are you going to do that? Well, I’m going to do it for however long the Lord tells me to, which at this point he hasn’t told me to stop. To be honest, I’m hating it right now. I didn’t want to come down here to Cape Town, South Africa in the first place but God called my entire team down here and we chose to remain obedient to that call.
I decided to chart my journey with you, well, at least take advantage of the amazing internet connection here on the beach while I have it. But don’t be surprised if you don’t hear from me either. I’ll move when the Lord tells me to move.
When Sarah came back to our team (which I’m SO glad she is; we missed her humor and spirit), she said something that’s just stuck with me, “We’re human beings, not human doings.” And then of course the Lord turns it around and says to my spirit, “Matt – you do do on yourself too much. Learn how to let My being, in you, flow out of you and into others.”
So this is, I suppose, an experiment in osmosis of sorts. I get to soak up the Lord so I can spill Him out onto others or something ridiculous like that.
Jesus help me.
**I did steal that picture from the internet, but it’s of Gordon’s Bay where I’m at right now.**
