We are sojourners here… traveling through a foreign land… that is our lot. A good friend of mine likes to say, “Just passing through in my flesh suite.
The more I have come to know the Lord’s love, and the more I grow in love for Him… the more I feel like dying will truly be a going home… For then I “shall be as He is and “know Him fully as I am fully known. Then, I will be home… for I will be with my Maker and my Savior! Knowing about heaven, and walking in the conscious awareness of heaven can mean a world of difference though… a heavenly difference. I don’t always do the best job… my heart seems to too easily live in the frustrations of this life rather than celebrating the joys of the next.
But ever so often God gives me those momentary revelations of just how good He is! Of how completely awesome and satisfying and delightful He is… it’s those moments, oh how I wish they’d continue?! But it’s those moments that give me that “deposit guaranteeing the things to come… feeling His Spirit, indeed, having His Spirit in me, as the first fruits, as the promise of all the blessing that is to come! It is those moments that help me get through life! Home… how sweet it will be…?
Out here on the mission field… I need similar reminders of home…
And in southern India I’ve just had one of the greatest revelations ever… thanks to Chef Holy Spirit, aka, Pam Wilson. Definitely, she was given this gift for the edification of the body… and as my duty in Christ, I will foster her ability to grow in that area, not forgetting to indulge myself in the fruit of her labor… she has cooked us up a miracle plate of food in each country so far… and to see the joy that it brings her… an awesome woman of faith!!
This month… that’s right! Southern India meets Southern Style cookin’… the real South… American style!! Home sweet home!! At least a foretaste of… literally… let the worship begin!!

That’s carrots, green beans, corn, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and brota (not American)… amen!
