One of my favorite things about our team thus far is that we love to sing and worship God together! Especially when we are in churches where fellow believers have been worshipping for centuries. It is just Epic!
And this week we have had the opportunity to worship in a couple of incredible places.
We had the opportunity to see the upper room where Jesus shared his last supper with the disciples. It is also the same room where the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples at Pentecost, and everyone was speaking in tongues. Today the room looks more like a church, with flying buttress ceilings and stained glass windows. Nonetheless, we knew that the spirit of God was in that place, so we were immediately drawn into a spirit of worship!
The spirit of God is present everywhere, but the Holy Spirit was definitely with us there. We prayed over Danielle, and she began speaking in her prayer language to God. And our team also prayed over me for healing and I heavily felt the spirit filling me. Praise God!
Last night, we also had the privilege of visiting Bethlehem, the shepherd’s field and the place where Jesus was born. We all sang ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’ inside the Franciscan church at the Shepherd’s field.
Worshipping together has made for some of the best memories so far. When believers are gathered together and are united in the spirit, great things happen & the body of Christ thrives.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me thus far on The Race! With both your prayers and finances you have blessed my life, and in so doing you have blessed the lives of those whom we serve everyday. God is always faithful, and he loves to provide for children. Just this week God healed the foot of our contact here in Jerusalem! Please continue to pray for us, and pray that God would provide abundantly for support raising. If He desires for us to stay on and complete The Race, then He will provide.
