On Saturday, our teams arrived in Israel. Sunday we toured the city of David and then walked through & sang worship songs in Hezekiah’s tunnel (tunnel used by King David to capture Jerusalem). Then the teams split up and were sent to each of our contacts in Israel.
Our team has been blessed to be able to actually live in the city of Jerusalem. Jerusalem is a beautiful city and we are living this month in the holy land.
It truly is a cool set up. We are staying with a gentleman who is from the great US of A, but lives here, now. He is Orthodox Jew and he has volunteered his home so that we can have a place to live, and help us learn about Judaism. He has actually written his own commentary on the New Testament bible. It has been fascinating and enlightening to learn about the bible from a new lens.
In midst of our new experiences here, God has been challenging us and growing us in new ways. Lately, our faith is being stretched to see God’s healing power work through us. On the race so far, we have seen many people healed with legs and arms growing, backs being straightened, and God is healing me from my sleep disorders. He is nothing less than a mysteriously wonderful God! Praise the Lord, that we worship the one true God!
It has been prophesied over our team that this will be a season of incredible spiritual growth for us. We are trusting God that when we are obedient to His call and we pursue Him with our whole hearts, that we will see God work through us. We are his children, and like a good Father, he desires nothing less than to give his children good gifts.
God has blessed us in bringing all of us on this journey across the world. It is no doubt that we are experiencing a life changing experience. Every week it is obvious to us that we have changed for the better, and are becoming men and women of God. I ask that you would continue to pray for my team and I as we continue on this journey.
Also please pray for my financial support. We have to raise a total of 13,800 dollars for the 11 months that we are gone, and God has provided a lot of it all ready, but I have not been able to raise all of my support yet. So please pray that God would raise up new supporters to provide the rest of my support. I love you all very much! I thank God that we all are connected through the love of Christ!
