FULLY FUNDED
Two words that every World Racer spends many hours dreaming of, seeming unattainable at times. In my own mind, i thought there is no way that i am going to be able to raise $14,285. How silly was i to put limitations on what God could do. When i was accepted back on August 7th, i tried my best to not spend too much time stressing over the money but i admit that it did seem pretty daunting. Fast forward to today December 6th- i am proud to say that i am officially FULLY FUNDED.
It has been a very humbling experience to say the least. I am typically not the type of person that likes for people to give me money so to say that this has been difficult is an understatement. God has taught many tremendous lessons through all of it though.
First off, i have learned that i do not need to steal the blessing that others want to give to me. This was very hard because when people would offer to give me money, i was almost embarrassed to the point of wanting to turn down the money. Thankfully, God showed me that i need to accept that blessing and not steal it from others.
Secondly, God has showed me this incredible favor by allowing people to bless me so that i may be able to use the blessing i have received to bless others in this process. What a joy it has been.
Third, i have so many people to thank for helping me reach my goal. It has been an overwhelming sight of generosity and giving from family members to fellow church members to friends to strangers you name it. I am a very blessed individual with an incredible support system that has absolutely blown me away. I am overjoyed to share this experience with each and every one of you.
Lastly, i want to give a word of encouragement to all of my teammates, squadmates, current racers, and future racers. DO NOT STRESS, seriously i have seen God provide in ways that i never thought possible so when the doubts and fear creep in, rebuke it because that is the devil himself trying to steal your joy. The money will come i promise you. I know it will because i have seen it with my own two eyes so stay positive!
