My name is Matt Carlson, and I am preparing to be a missionary for 11 months on the WR Mission Trip. Starting July of 2014 I will begin serving alongside a team of approximately 40 individuals, working within eleven countries including: Dominican Republic, Haiti, Honduras, Guatemala, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar (Burma) and Cambodia. As Minnesotans’ say, Uff dah.
The WR Mission Trip is a journey to 11 countries in 11 months. On this World Race mission trip, my hope is to be a disciple, helping neighboring churches, caring for the homeless and those held in prostitution, building relationship with local youth, teaching english/ math, providing orphans with acceptable housing and feeding the hungry. This is all through a Christian program called the World Race, through the organization, Adventures in Missions. I would love to let you know how God is working around the world! My blog will be a great way for me to communicate my World Race experience.
I know this time will be an important next chapter in my life and faith. I would be so thankful for your support, encouragement and prayers.

Currently I have been able to raise $6,100 toward my final goal of $16,250 needed to participate in this mission. The final goal amount will cover all of my expenses in the field.
