It has been surreal to realize that we’ve been in the season of “lasts” on the Race. It started with our last normal debrief, followed by traveling to our last continent, and now it has come down to our last country and month of ministry. Crazy!
We finished up our ministry time in the Philippines and are now in Thailand. This month we’ve separated the squad into three teams. All the guys have been put on one team and the girls have been divided into two teams. The gender split is typical for most squads but not many do it the last month of the race. Thailand is usually the reason for the split since most of what the girls ministry centers around is women in the sex slave industry. They are working to get women out of this horrendous business and helping them realize that God loves them and there is freedom from the oppression they are under. Please keep them in prayer with us.

Even though we’ve only been here a couple days it has already been an amazing bonding time and a foreshadow of what this month will hold for us as men. We’ve been praying over each other, wrestling with what is looks like to be a brotherhood, facing issues head on. and really looking to God to define us and our identity. I am so thankful for all the guys on my team and know that we’ll be coming out of this month different than we went in.
