friend through it all. Well I guess you could say that I found 26
friends, but I also found a brother. Someone I can my buddy ol’ pal or
even my wingman! Paco is an amazing guy. He’s always ready for a good
laugh and always to there to extend some encouragement. A true blessing
in my life. And so the reason I’m telling you about Paco my compadre is
that he is in need at this time. You see he’s venturing off to South
America, Argentina to be exact. And when I asked him his vision and
plan, this is what he told me:
this past year was my first experience as a missionary. Working with
“The World Race” for eleven months, I have had the opportunity to share
the love of God in eleven different countries. Until halfway through
the program, I planned to begin working for a master’s in business
immediately following my return to the States. But while in India
during month eight, I sensed very strongly that God was calling me to
Argentina once the program was over. So I’m deciding to step out and
pursue the call.”
how is it going to work? I mean you’ve never been before and you don’t
know anyone there, or do ya?”
“Matt, come’on. You know me, I’m pursueing the Lord. If he shuts the door,
that’s that. But man, he has oppened one up again here in the 4th
quarter so to speak. My contacts are two missionaries from my hometown
in Monroeville, Alabama. They have been in Argentina for the last 20
years and they have invited me to join them for a six month period to
reach college students and the locals with the gospel. But more
specifically my vision for going to Argentina is to develop life long
relationships with impoverished and marginalized families for on-going
ministry purposes, I want to head towards a more business-minded form
of ministry, I desire to improve my Spanish skills (possibly by living
with a poor family/widow which in return the rent would help them
economically), and also to continue a personal awareness of my identity
in Christ outside of my home environment.”
is a man of God pursuing Christ with all he has. He is a KINGDOM
servant. He know who he is in his IDENTITY and he desires to follow
where Jesus is leading. Right now the Lord is leading him to
Argentina. So with that said, he currently has his round-trip ticket
paid for and has a few hundred in his pocket to get him started when he
lands in Buenos Aires. He is looking for roughly another $4000 to
carry him through renting a room from a family, travel, insurance, as
well as food and ministry cash to aid people he meets on his journey.
flight leaves in 5 short weeks, so his trust is fully in the Lord to
provide. Maybe God is asking you to be that blessing to him. If you are
willing to support him financially, please send him a quick personal
email and he’ll get you the information you need to give to him. His
email address is [email protected]
. Even if you can’t help out financially, please join me in prayer for
him. He’s not just going to learn, but to be the hands and feet of
Jesus to the nation of Argentina. The Kingdom of God will be brought
through Eli.
Andas I’ve traveled alongside Eli this past year, there’s never been a
more get-ready to go guys as Eli. From digging holes in Peru, to
holding unwanted orphans in Mozambique, to giving impoverished
Cambodian children manicures, Eli is the right guy for the job!!
Upon his return stateside in April, he will begin an MBA program
at Samford University, which will better equip him to serve God. After
graduating, he will enter the business world with the vision: to
minister to the corporate America and also use his business skills to
create income-generating opportunities for many of the poor families
back in Argentina and other parts of the world. Right now he is asking for your investment into him so he can set up a lifelong investment into the needy around the world!!
