The past few days have been spent in the YWAM Thailand base here in Bangkok. On the 9th, 3 of our teams departed for their ministry sites. The guys went to somewhere in the west and the girls went to Pattaya and Phuket.

Some relaxing in the YWAM base before the teams head out.

The day of the 10th was an early one as Mark and I headed out to the Vietnamese embassy to send in our visa applications and retrieve the July squad’s. The plan is to head to Vietnam and some of us to hong Kong for about 3 weeks at the end of this month. So of course Mark being our logistics guy, I tagged along and helped out. This small things seem to be our jobs for these last couple of days for our future endeavours in southeast Asia.

When we arrived back at the base, the July ’08 Squad arrived from their debrief on the island. So we spent the evening going to the large Siam Paragon mall here in Bangkok. This place puts all malls I’ve ever been to till this point in my life to shame. This mall has lambourginis, humvees, an aquarium and of course every other fast food and fancy clothing stores you can think of. No American Eagle here I tell ya. Gucci is pretty much bottom line!

And tomorrow we leave for our grand adventure into the northern lands of Thailand.

until next time…
