Namibia?!Ya that’s what I thought when I first said it. It’s so far out of the way. It’s logistically not in the area of where we have planned to go at all. In fact it’s the opposite direction. I heard it loud and clear, so let’s go!!

You heard me right, we’re in Namibia! It has been a long story in which we arrived to this location on our World Race trip. Last month we spent time in Botswana and had a good time truly learning what community is all about. 5 people living in close quarters with not a whole lot on their agendas. We struggled through things and in the end came out with a whole new understanding of who each other was. It was a beautiful thing to be a part of.

Part of that process was the conclusion that the Lord was calling us to Zimbabwe. If you haven’t heard much about Zimbabwe, it is a country on the verge of a civil war. People ar being killed, tortured, and intimidated all due to a dictator refusing to give up his presidential power. So we knew for a fact that the Lord was calling us there risking everything that we had to being taken from us. He had spoken to a number of us and assured us that it was where we were supposed to be this month.

So as we prepared and continued to ask God for more direction, the door slammed shut on Zimbabwe. For God had other plans for us instead. To trim the story down, we ended up renting a car for a pretty good rate and were heading on a road trip. Our plans were to Ask The Lord as we went and tried to tune our spiritual ears to where he was going to lead us. Our first stop was north into Botswana once again so we stayed in Gaberone for the first night. The next morning we were on our way to a place called Maun way up in the north part of the country as a stop on the way to Victoria Falls.

We departed nice and early and about an hour into our drive we recieved a phone call saying that we had left a wallet behind in our motel room. So we had no choice but to go back and retireve it (it had our team money in it). As we were driving the Holy Spirit prompted me to speak out what was revealed to me…..

NAMIBIA!! This was the word that was on my mind the whole night before. It made no sense to go to Namibia and I had ignored the thought of it. But the Lord had enough of my human mindset and brought it up once again into my heart. This time alot stronger!

That’s the condensed version of the story so far. We are currently in Windhoek, Namibia on day 4 of our 19 day trip and we have no idea where  we will be going. After driving 19 hours in a small 4 door Toyota Tazz craming in 4 people we are learning what it means to be obedient.

Please pray for us as we tune in to those divine appointments that we are seeking out.
