Forever Bound…
I wrote this in the Philippines and didn’t post it… but here it is.
Written in red: “I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven…”
Matthew 18:18

Nathan is amazing. He was a standout athlete in school. When he walks into a room people flock to him. He’s everyone’s best friend and can make anyone laugh. I’ve always looked up to him.
While I was in Israel Nathan got arrested for strong armed robbery. What I didn’t tell you is that my brother is a heroin addict, sufferer of depression, and has “psychological issues.” He is currently awaiting trial, but faces 10-25 years of prison.
I read Matthew 18:18 and, well, to be honest, took it out of context of the literal translation. However, I do believe the scripture is the living breathing word of God. When I read the chapter this is what I saw. Verse 15 “you have won your brother over” then verse 18 “whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven” then verse 19 “it will be done for you by my Father in heaven”.
A heroin addict, sufferer of depression, psychological issues… a son of the King. A man redeemed and chosen to change the nations. After all, his name means “God has given.” When I think about him and look at pictures, this is what I see.
Yesterday, I visited my first prison to do ministry. At times it was so difficult. I couldn’t get my brother off my mind. As I spoke all I saw was Nathan in front of me. I realized why. These guys were my brothers. I had to tell them the same thing I am trying to tell my brother. You don’t have to be a prisoner any more.
Please pray for Nathan, the prisoners, and for their freedom.
I’m forever bound… bound by the spirit and in the prophetic bound to my brother. I know that the Lord is going to capture his heart. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven…
