Dear Friends,

I just got a macbook pro and when I opened iworks it gave me several choices on what kind of template I’d like to use. This one is called Dublin. How perfect. I am currently over the ocean about 3-31/2 hours out of Dublin. Our flight was scheduled to depart at 7:25 but was delayed atleast an hour. I should be sleeping but I’m just not feeling it, even after takiing some Dramamine. When we arrive it’ll be about 7am which means no sleep!

New York came and went fast… no complaints about that. I’m just fine being a small town southern boy. Too many people, noises, smells, and not enough purell. One thing I realized while I was there was the need for Jesus.  You always hear about the “glam” of NYC. All I saw was a city in need. Homeless people fill up the sidewalks and closed down store entry ways. There are no smiles or how do you do’s. Old newspapers that were once used as beds pollute the streets. You can’t go a block without hearing someone being cursed out.

Homelessness isn’t the only sad part. Businessmen and women race from building to building by foot and taxi because their 200k car is too nice to risk driving, so it sits in the garage of their 2 million dollar 2 bedroom condo that they’re laying their life down for. From the time they get out of bed to the time they take their shoes off stresses of their lifestyle fill their head. Iif the economy slightly turns they could lose their career, their crib, their ride, their image. Faces portray confusion, distrust, sadness, depression, godlessness in both ends of the spectrum.

These are just two small groups of people in NYC and all over the world. We need believers to put on their big boy boxers, and man up.  Be a witness. Give a hug. Smile, Jesus loves you. You don’t have to preach the gospel 24-7 with words… live it. The world can change.

Sincerely yours,

Matt Patch
