Enjoy a glimpse into our month in India!
Our class of english students from the technical college. They called me Professor Mason (I loved it).
The girl who stole my heart at the homeless shelter. (blog coming soon!)
This is Pastor Daniel. Unfortunately I did not grow to be 6’5″ while I have been away, he is just rather short. We held a vacation bible school at his church and preached there on Sundays. His testimony is incredible. His family is Hindu in the highest caste in their town. He heard about Jesus and believed in Christianity. His family made him choose between the lavish lifestyle and social acceptance or Jesus. He listened to God, packed up a suitcase, and moved across India. Over the past 10 years he has pastored his own church in Chirthradurga.
Our “Squatty potty”. It looks like I went from selling foreclosed homes to living in them!
Repping the culture with pride. The man skirt aka “lungis” are in.. I promise.
Pastor Daniel praying over the children before VBS.
This is Ravi, our ministry host in Chithradurga. I LOVE this guy! He loved spending time with us and teaching us about the culture. He taught us to play cricket (He played professionally). He always gave me big hugs. I really miss him. This was one of the hardest good-byes I have had on the race.
This beautiful family invited our team over for breakfast one morning. The Indian culture is very hospitable. We had traditional indian cuisine called “Dosa” which are pancakes rolled in spices(curry!) and vegetables. After we ate the sons taught me to “Lungi” dance and they showed us pictures of their families.
My little buddy, Pridham. He wouldn’t go anywhere without me, we were pals.
My teammates Grant and Cole. I love these guys so much. The Lord truly blessed me with their friendship. True brothers in Christ.
