When people say “tell me about you”, I usually give them a blank stare…this is just like that. I am not good at writing or talking about me (unless it involves Jesus and then I can go on for hours about what He has done and is doing in my life), so here it goes.
I’m rather simple
- My name is Marybeth (one word with a lower case ‘b’)
- Presbyterian College class of 2015
- Psychology major.
- ISFJ.
- I love words. My favorite word is “Joy”…try to say it without smiling. I dare you.
- Cats. We have 2–Oliver and Bella.
- Tea. I prefer tea over coffee any day…tea, tea cups, tea pots–whats not to love? (My dream is to have high tea with the queen of England some day.)
- Books. Let me sit in a library or book store all day and I will love you forever.
- I play the bagpipes!
- Purple.
- Traveling. If I could do one thing for the rest of my life, it would be traveling and sharing Jesus with people I come across.
- I enjoy running. I know to most that sounds ridiculous but for me it is relaxing and it provides me with the opportunity to be outside, alone, with my thoughts (and it challenges me…even better!)
- I ran the Disney Princess Half Marathon 2015–my first and I definitely want to do another one!
- I don’t like small talk…I despise it. I prefer to have meaningful conversations about life and Jesus.
- I love learning about other people. I would rather sit and hear your life story, how you got to where you are, and what God has done for you than hear about what the weather is supposed to be like for the day. (See above bullet point)
Lastly (and most importantly), God has absolutely wrecked my life! I wish I could sit with a cup of tea and share everything He has done and is doing in my life with all of you. One of these days, I’ll write a post with my testimony (the short version…it’s about 13 typed pages long). I cannot wait to share this journey with y’all and I am ecstatic to see what God is going to do in and through me on The World Race!
