This month, I have had the amazing opportunity to work at an orphanage called Mi Casa Kids in El Salvador. A lot of our job has been loving on the 15 kids who live here, and serve the staff in any way we can. We have sanded, painted, stained, picked out lice, cleaned bathrooms, and all of it has been so rewarding. The big cheese, Bob McDonell, is an incredible man of God who has such a huge heart for these kids. And his wife, Maricela, is an amazingly loving and supportive woman of God. Working under them has been such a privilege, and they have loved us well beyond what is necessary for a ministry host.

One way that we are working to bless them is by helping with some fundraising. You might be tempted to stop reading here, but please don’t! Six of the kids here have been accepted to a really good English immersion school. This is an incredible opportunity for them. If they speak English, they instantly will make double in whatever career they choose. This is huge, because many of the kids will have to be able to financially support siblings as well.
The girl who I’m trying to find support for is Brisa. She and her sister are here at Mi Casa Kids after being taken out of a really bad living situation. Brisa is very sweet, beautiful, and intelligent. She will excel at this school, and is very capable of pursuing any career that she wants. I have absolutely loved getting to know her.

If you are interested in supporting her, we have made a causes page for her on Facebook. The cost of her education for the next year is $1,265. If you can donate even a little bit, it will help! All of the information for donating is on the page. You can donate online with a credit card, or you can mail a check to the organization’s headquarters in Oregon. Thanks so much!
