Have you ever been on a plane when only one little thing happens and you being to think that something could go horribly wrong? Well that happened to me on my plane ride home. I was not going to share this story, but I thought I should because it is how I found the scripture from my last post Training Camp Endeavors.
On my last flight home from Dallas to Lubbock I was on a small plane. Small planes normally do not bother me until this particular flight. The guy sitting across the aisle right next to me said he had water dripping on him. At first it did not bother me and I told him in a calm manner that if it does not stop he can come sit next to me in the empty seat. Well about 10 minutes later my side stated to drip. Fist thing that goes through my mind is, electrical wires, water, and possibly some type of shortage equals not good. It order to calm myself I started praying and listened to some worship music on my IPod, then I felt the need to open my bible. While opening my bible and after a little searching of what to read I ran into 1st Thessalonians 5:12-18. An instant sense of ease came through me and I was no longer over thinking about a plane malfunction.
My reasoning for sharing this story is because God is bigger than anything in this world. When we have a sense of discomfort just praying and finding God helps ease ones distress. Sometimes things in life get to a point where we need to just let go of what is bothering us and give it up to God, because he is the only one that can truly give us the reassurance that we need at the right time. So just remember that when you are going through a rough time to not over think it and give it to God. If He is let in, He will calm you and give you comfort. With God NOTHING is impossible.
