Well our month in Cambodia is now over. Time for a recap. Agapetos spent the month in Siem Reap, the city where Angkor Wat is. We spent the month staying with a wonderful family teaching English and computers at a free school they set up. I had four classes, one computer class and three English classes. I had two classes in the morning and two in the late afternoon. My first class of the day was the computer class. Basically I had students from my English class come to my computer class to learn typing, Word and Powerpoint. My next class was an English class of all boys and an occasional girl or two. The boys were 12-18 years of age. This was my favorite class. The boys were so eager to learn and so much fun to teach. After a nice break in the afternoon, I returned to the school for two more classes. My first class of the afternoon was for young children who happened to speak no English, so we spent a lot of time on the ABC’s and learning new vocabulary. My next class was a conversational English class with 18-21 year old guys and girls. This class was fun for me. We basically just talked and shared stories.
On Sundays we got the opportunity to go to an international church and teach Sunday School. The congregants are from all over the world. The kids were a neat group, so fun to teach and get to know. Here are some pictures from my month.
