It's hard to write these. Too long, too short, too thorough, too brief, too pretentious, too watery. So here are some facts, and y'all can figure out the rest later:
Hi, I'm Mary.
I'm the eldest of three girls, and one of roughly … well, a lot of extended Phamily members—I don't know where I'd be without them (probably no where good).
Born and raised in southern California on July 31st (and will be celebrating my 21st birthday on the Race!).
Transplanted to New York to attend The King's College in Manhattan.
(I was raised in the faith, but this is when God really became apparent to me.)
God willing, graduating May 11, 2013. (!!!)
Optimistic realist—or so I like to think.
Fascinated with economic development. Actually, I could care less about economics. They just happen to be the means to help people.
I'm a big fan of the incredible women who make up the House of Margaret Thatcher, and Mock Trial.
Life goal: love the Lord and live a life that glorifies Him by loving people.
By no means do I do this perfectly, but, hey, it's a work-in-progress.
In case you're still interested, here are some things I like so you can get a better picture:
I like real talk, bridges, and night lights.
I like learning new things and being with people, especially spontaneous, witty ones.
I like couches you can sink into.
I like faraway places, pictures, dancing, water, and fire.
I like changing seasons, everything bagels with vegetable cream cheese, good worship, scarves, and boots.
I like inspiration.
I like rooftops, parks, and juice.
I like beaches, sunshine, and genuinely good-hearted people.
I think grammar and spelling are important, but annoying (tip of the hat to Strunk & White).
I like knowing my way around the subway system, and laughing until my face hurts.
Kids are my favorite type of people.
God is awesome; His plans are sovereign and good!
